When you feel that you can do something, this mean that you have self-confidence. Now does that mean that you have a high self-esteem too. What is the difference, and what are the similarities?

Self-confidence means a person’s trust in himself for his abilities and capabilities and other good characteristics.

Self-esteem, on the other hand, refers to how a person rates and sees himself in relation to the society where he is a part.
